Annual Flu Shots: An Easy Way to Help You Stay Healthy
Each fall, everyone six months of age and older should make it a tradition to get a flu shot. Being vaccinated is an important step to protect against flu viruses. Read this vaccine information sheet to learn more.
Four No-Cost Options
Getting a flu shot is easy – and the Firm’s medical plan covers the full cost when you see an in-network provider.
1: Flu Shot Clinics at the Office
To make it convenient to get the flu shot, the Firm is hosting flu clinics at some of our larger offices. Everyone is welcome – even if you don’t participate in the Firm’s medical plan. To check if your branch is participating, visit flu/ from your browser.
2: Your Local Pharmacy
Most pharmacies – including CVS, Duane Reade, Rite Aid, Target (now CVS), Walgreens, Walmart, etc. – offer flu shots. Be sure to call in advance to confirm that your local pharmacy is in-network. Age restrictions and limitations may apply and vaccine supply may vary by location.
For a full list of participating pharmacies visit vaccinefinder.org or visit mycigna.com, myuhc.com or expressscripts.com
3: Your Doctor, Including One Medical Offices
Your visit for your flu shot is the perfect time to schedule an annual exam, age-related screenings and other preventative care – services that are also covered when you use an in-network provider1. Building a relationship with your primary care physician will help your physician understand your medical history and your family and personal needs. To learn more, visit mycigna.com, myuhc.com – or visit flu/ from your browser.
Employees and family members who participate in the Firm’s medical plan through Cigna or UnitedHealthcare may schedule same- or next-day appointments at one of the 125+ One Medical locations2. And if you do get sick, use One Medical’s 24/7 Treat Me Now virtual care service, at no cost.
4: Onsite Health Centers in the NY Metro Area
Schedule your flu shot at one of the Firm’s three onsite health centers, which are operated by One Medical: 750 7th Ave, One New York Plaza and 2000 Westchester Avenue.
1If the flu shot is not administered as a part of an annual physical or other preventive visit, the doctor’s office visit may incur charges.
2Health center services are free for employees enrolled in the Morgan Stanley Medical Plan Option A or B or those who waive coverage. Per IRS guidelines, employees enrolled in Medical Plan Option C (or a non-Morgan Stanley high-deductible health plan) will pay a fee for non-preventive services, subject to plan deductibles and coinsurance. See fee schedule.
