2024 Plan Information

NY-Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Response & Physician Referrals

Through the Firm’s membership in NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center’s Corporate Care System, employees and their families in the tristate area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) have priority access to hospital services, including an emergency response program in Manhattan, a physician referral program, and onsite physical therapy in Manhattan and Westchester. NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the world’s leading academic medical centers with renowned specialists in every field of medicine.

Emergency Response System
The hospital’s Emergency Response System is a dispatch service when you need immediate emergency care. As an alternative to calling 911, Morgan Stanley employees and their families in Manhattan only can call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Upon receiving your call, professionally trained NewYork-Presbyterian staff dispatch a NewYork-Presbyterian ambulance (or alternate means of transport) and determine to send the patient to NewYork-Presbyterian or the nearest hospital. Staff will keep Morgan Stanley informed of the employee’s status, if notified during normal business hours.

Any medical or emergent care services provided are covered in accordance with your medical plan, whether you are enrolled in the Firm’s Medical Plan or have outside coverage.

Physician Referral Service: Access to Over 5,000 Top Physicians in Virtually Every Medical Specialty
Speak confidentially with a physician referral coordinator about your medical needs. At no cost to you, the coordinator will recommend an in-network physician or health care professional (you may also request to see out-of-network providers, if you choose). The coordinator can even schedule an appointment for you. Coordinators are available 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
